Job Description and Requirements

This position is for 1 Full Time Approved Premises Area Manager covering West Yorkshire (Dewsbury, Cleckheaton & Wakefield). Candidates who are not immediately appointed will be placed on a merit list for 12 months to fill future vacancies.

Working Arrangements & Further Information

The MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements where possible, blending working from home, base location, and other sites, subject to business needs and individual circumstances. The location may include Justice Collaboration Centres or Satellite Offices, discussed upon appointment.

Standard hours are 37 per week, with flexible, part-time, and job-sharing options considered. Benefits include annual leave starting at 25 days, increasing to 30 days after five years, pension schemes, training opportunities, employee networks, and family-friendly policies.

Eligibility and Recruitment

Applicants must meet security and identity checks. The role is open to UK nationals, Irish, Commonwealth, and certain EU/EEA nationals, with specific rules for settled or pre-settled status. A reserve list may be held for 12 months.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/Honours Degree in Community Justice with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice, or an equivalent recognized qualification at the time of qualification.

Experience assessed through statements, licences, and language proficiency, with specific managerial, supervisory, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement experience required.

Interview Details

Interviews are scheduled for 9th & 10th June 2025 in the Durham/Darlington area.
