Job Description

Hill View Primary, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Administrator to join the school 1st October 2026

Post: Administrator

Location: Hill View Primary, Hill View Road, Bournemouth, BH10 5BD

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade 4 point 6 - point 9; £25,989 - £27,694

Actual Annual Salary: £18,752 - £19,665

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 4.30pm

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an excellent administrator to support the Office Manager in the management and delivery of all office and administrative services for Hill View Primary.

About the successful candidate

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, self-sufficient, dynamic ability to work well in a team and to use their own initiative and well organised with a can do attitude to be part of a fast-growing team. We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

GCSE mathematics and English - grade C and above or equivalent

NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent

Good Knowledge of general computer packages, office equipment, Microsoft office, photocopiers, telephone systems etc

Good keyboard and typing skills for the production of routine correspondence and emails.

Experience in working in a school environment.

Knowledge of finance and experience in using PSF Financial or equivalent software.

Ability to update and maintain the school website.

Ability to remain calm, use judgment when interpreting and resolving problems.

Have good verbal and written communication skills to exchange information with a range of audiences (staff, pupils, parents, visitors etc)
