The HR Business Partner model has been in operation within NHS Dumfries & Galloway for over ten years and is a very strong positive operating model for both the HR Team and the Directorates we support. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant can form strong positive working relationships with staff and managers within the directorates they support as this is critical to the continued successful delivery of this model.
This role is complex and the successful candidate will be involved in HR matters across the employee lifecycle. It presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready for the next step in their HR career. Candidates should have achieved Chartered CIPD or be working towards this and have experience across a number of HR roles.
Responsibilities- Lead strategic and operational workforce practice and development within the defined directorate, acting as a member of the senior management team.
- Work collaboratively with workforce directorate colleagues to define service level standards, ensuring proactive, safe, consistent and effective practices that meet organisational objectives and the directorate's strategy.
- Ensure delivery of an effective HR service for all employment matters related to the employee lifecycle.
- Lead and manage defined corporate, cross directorate, board wide and specific workforce projects.
- Support the development and implementation of workforce policies and procedures.
- Chartered CIPD membership or working towards it.
- Experience across a range of HR roles with a comprehensive understanding of the employee lifecycle.
- Strong ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
