We will consider applicants for the above locum (12 months), full-time post based in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. NHS Lothian is seeking a motivated, skilled radiologist to join our team of 16 Diagnostic neuroradiologists at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Little France, Edinburgh.

Responsibilities

You will have all the skills expected of a neuroradiologist, particularly cross-sectional imaging. The ability to perform image-guided biopsy and intervention would be preferable, along with Head and Neck imaging and biopsy expertise.

You will contribute to the on-call rota, which comes with access to a home workstation if desired. This can also, subject to local negotiation, be used for home working for some of your normal working week.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
  • Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
  • Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.

It is essential you are registered with the GMC, have a licence to practice and be either on, or within 6 months of eligibility of admission to the specialist register at the time of interview (intended March 2026 or later).
