Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practice and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.

This post is designed to support the Chronic pain service in NHS Lothian. The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide chronic pain services at the Leith Community Treatment Centre. Anaesthesia sessions will involve elective and emergency surgery at the Western General Hospital. For a more detailed description of the job please see the available job pack.

You will have completed or be close to completing your training in Anaesthesia. The post is full time with 9 direct clinical care programmed activities and 1 supporting professional activities.
