Job Description
Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) - Band 7

Position: Permanent, 30 hours per week, part of the medical assessment and hospital at night team at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality, patient centred care in a dynamic emergency setting.
  • Make independent clinical decisions within agreed protocols and best practice.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide expert nursing care and support to nursing and medical staff.
Qualifications
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice.
  • Independent prescriber.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and sound judgement.
Development Opportunity

Training ANP at Band 6, 35 hours per week, 23 month fixed term. Successful completion leads to permanent Band 7. Requires bonding agreement.
