Join NHS Lothian as a Band 6 Digital Knowledge Manager.
Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional with a passion for health and social care knowledge management? NHS Lothian is seeking to establish the new post of Digital Knowledge Manager to develop and deliver our digital knowledge services within the organisation. You will play a vital role in managing NHS Lothian's delivery of evidence and guidance as decision support through the national Right Decision Service platform to get evidence into day-to-day practice. You will also support delivery of digital knowledge through other internal and external systems, provide training and advice to build staff skills and confidence in using digital knowledge, and disseminating knowledge to improve patient care, shared decision-making and staff development.
Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop digital knowledge and information systems . This includes a primary focus on delivery of decision support through the national Right Decision Service, as well as delivery of digital knowledge through Intranet, e-learning, Teams channels, the national Library Management System and other digital applications including intranet, e-learning, and knowledge sharing platforms.
  • Provide expert advice on knowledge management practices and digital resource development to deliver evidence and guidance through the Right Decision Service and other channels.
  • Conduct high-quality evidence searches, summaries, and reports to support decision-making
  • Deliver formal training sessions and workshops on digital tools and knowledge resources
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to engage new stakeholders in identify knowledge needs and develop solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of knowledge services, ensuring continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

  • Educated at least to degree level in knowledge management, librarianship, informatics or a related field
  • Experience in evidence searching, digital content management, and delivering training
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of digital tools like SharePoint and Teams

PLEASE NOTE This is a full time position and will involve hybrid working including travel to all NHS Lothian sites.
