About Our Graduate Programme

Our dynamic two-year Graduate Programme is an exceptional launchpad for your career as a future Chartered Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist.

Our program combines technical expertise with professional development through two enriching learning journeys. You'll dive into hands on experiences alongside industry leading teams, equipping you with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in your engineering career.

From day one, you'll benefit from a personalised on the job training plan tailored to the Ground Engineering department, allowing you to apply technical knowledge in real world settings while receiving ongoing support from experienced professionals.

You'll actively contribute to a variety of projects, gaining invaluable experience every step of the way. We are also committed to enhancing your essential soft skills, ensuring you develop a well rounded skill set that complements your technical abilities with effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Preparing and contributing to various stages of Ground Engineering deliverables, supporting the company's growth on all aspects of projects across a number of sectors including power, rail, highways, life sciences, nuclear and aviation.
  • Undertaking the design and specification of Ground Engineering activities.
  • Supporting the development of Ground Engineering service capabilities across BakerHicks' geographic locations.

  • 2:1 degree in a relevant subject such as Civil Engineering or Earth Sciences. Preferably you will hold an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
  • Job grade 1 compliance as a first year graduate.

Our commitment is to develop, train, and retain our graduates for the long term.
