MCS Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role within a motivated team.

The Role

We are working alongside a leading contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their team.

In this role you will play a key part in the Estimating team, the successful candidate will work alongside submissions and technical teams on the preparation of competitive tenders.

You will

• Lead the estimating process on major and complex tenders, managing supply chain engagement, client interaction and coordination with internal commercial and delivery teams.
• Produce accurate estimates, cost plans and budgets from early-stage information, with the ability to price from first principles and analyse subcontractor quotations.
• Manage Design & Build tender requirements, including identifying design elements and coordinating with external designers.
• Work across multiple tenders at once, contributing to tender meetings, collaborating with the wider bid team, and ensuring all costs are accurately compiled in estimating systems.
• Support and lead members of the estimating team, helping develop junior staff while contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in estimating/ commercial/ procurement roles for Construction or Civil Engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of cost management, estimating, and contract administration.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong communication.
