Are you an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a mainstream secondary school in Salford that is looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a secondary-aged pupil.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous mainstream secondary school experience who is passionate about building positive relationships and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The Role

You will provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team.

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support in lessons and around school.
• Helping the pupil access and engage with the curriculum.
• Supporting concentration, organisation and independence.
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Working closely with teaching and SEN staff to support the pupil's progress.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural difficulties or communication needs would be beneficial.

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a 1:1 SEN TA, Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Experience working in a mainstream secondary school.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• A patient, calm and consistent approach.
• The ability to establish positive boundaries and build trust.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people.
