1:1 Learning Support Assistant - SEND School, Fareham

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Fareham, supporting secondary-aged pupils who experience learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs and language challenges. This role involves providing personalised support to help pupils access learning, regulate emotions and develop independence.

Contract Details

• Location: Fareham
• Start Date: September 2026
• Hours: 08:30am - 15:00pm
• Full-time
• Pay Rate: From £14.25 per hour

• Calm behaviour support
• Strong behaviour management while maintaining a positive, supportive learning environment.
• Motivational approach to encourage engagement, communication and confidence.
• Support for sensory and communication needs, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Caring, patient and an excellent communicator.
• Self-reflective and proactive with a willingness to learn.
• Experience supporting young people with Autism, learning difficulties or language needs.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
• Provide references covering the last 24 months.
