We're currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Derby on a long-term basis starting in September.
You'll be joining a supportive and inclusive school that is committed to ensuring every child receives the individual support they need to succeed. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you'll provide tailored support to help a pupil access learning, build confidence and reach their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a passion for supporting children with additional needs in a rewarding one-to-one role.

- Providing dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with additional learning needs
- Supporting the pupil to access lessons and participate fully in classroom activities
- Implementing learning strategies and intervention programmes set by the class teacher and SENCO
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social interactions
- Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the wider school team
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
- Recent experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider school team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
