Youth Justice Officer

We are looking to recruit a Youth Justice Officer in the Youth Justice Team within Islington. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their youth justice staffing levels.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities. • Prepare high-quality Pre-Sentence Reports (PSR), Referral Order and Breach Reports for court
• Undertake detailed assessments using AssetPlus to inform intervention and risk management plans
• Deliver structured and sequenced interventions to reduce reoffending and manage risk of harm
• Monitor and manage risk and safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate action and escalation
• Work in close partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to achieve positive outcomes
• Support young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities
• Contribute to team meetings, service development, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting in line with statutory requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Previous Youth Justice experience
• Preferably a Qualified Social Worker or Probation Officer
