Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join the school from November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Upper Key Stage 2 practitioner who can build positive relationships, maintain high expectations, and successfully guide pupils through their SATs preparation.

Your new role As the Year 6 Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate learners
  • Support pupils through their SATs preparation and examinations
  • Adapt and personalise existing planning to suit your teaching style and the needs of the class
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team
  • Benefit from dedicated PPA time to support your workload
What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Experience preparing pupils for SATs and securing positive outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt planning and deliver high-quality lessons
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to teaching
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain o
