Year 6 Intervention Teacher - Gillingham
April to July Fixed-Term Contract Full-Time
A primary school in Gillingham is seeking an experienced and focused Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join their team from April through to July on a fixed-term contract.
This is a key role supporting pupils in the lead-up to the end of Key Stage 2 assessments, helping to raise attainment, close learning gaps and build confidence during a crucial stage of their education.
About the Role
- Delivering high-impact interventions aligned with the KS2 curriculum
- Supporting pupils in preparation for SATs
- Identifying gaps in learning and planning targeted support
- Tracking and monitoring pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Hold GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents
- Have strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Demonstrate experience supporting upper KS2 pupils
We are looking for a confident practitioner with excellent classroom management skills, strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate pupils to achieve their best.
