Year 5 Teacher - Barnet Autumn Term Contract September 2026 Start

A highly regarded two-form entry primary school in Barnet is seeking an experienced and committed Year 5 Teacher to join the school from September 2026. This is a full-time position for the Autumn Term (September - December) with the possibility of the role extending beyond Christmas for the right candidate.

The Role

• Full time Year 5 Teacher position
• Teach a well behaved and engaged Year 5 class
• Assume full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, assessment and parent consultations
• Shared planning and collaboration with the parallel Year 5 teacher
• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Monitor pupil progress and ensure strong outcomes for all learners
• Opportunity for the role to extend beyond the Autumn Term

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management skills
• A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to quickly integrate into an established school team
