Salary: £40,372-£59,864 per annum (M1-UPS3), paid to scale and pro rata
Contract: Part-time, temporary - January to July 2027
Days: Monday to Wednesday
Hours: 8:15am-4:00pm, term time only
Start Date: January 2027
Teach Now is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher for a three-day-a-week job share at a warm and welcoming independent Jewish day school in Barnet.
You will teach a well-behaved class of 24 pupils who respond positively to clear routines, firm boundaries and well-paced lessons. The role offers an excellent work-life balance, substantial non-contact time and the support of an approachable Deputy Headteacher, who will be your job-share partner.
The Role- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured KS2 lessons.
- Share responsibility for English and Maths planning across the week.
- Take responsibility for planning three additional curriculum subjects.
- Assess pupils progress and provide clear, purposeful feedback.
- Maintain consistent expectations across both sides of the job share.
- Work collaboratively with the Deputy Headteacher and supporting staff.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
A strong bank of existing planning is available and can be adapted to suit your teaching style and the needs of the class. The school also follows a practical feedback approach, including live marking in Maths and focused corrections in English.
About You- Hold UK-recognised Qualified Teacher Status.
- Have experience teaching within KS2.
- Be organised, reliable and comfortable working collaboratively.
- Deliver lessons with clear structure, pace and appropriate challenge.
- Be warm and approachable while maintaining strong classroom expectations.
- Communicate effectively to ensure continuity across the job share.
