Duties as a Year 2 Teaching Assistant:- Support pupils within a Year 2 classroom on a one-to-one and small-group basis
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Help develop pupils' literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Support children preparing for Key Stage 1 assessments
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
- Experience within a school or educational setting is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Understanding of Key Stage 1 learning and development
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Your salary - dependent on experience - is paid weekly through PAYE - that means no self-employed or umbrella companies.
