A welcoming Primary School in Tipton is seeking a motivated Year 1Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from the start of the new academic year, with full planning responsibilities included.

This Key Stage 1 teaching role involves planning, delivering, and assessing lessons for a Year 1 class, ensuring pupils are supported to reach their full potential. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain a structured, engaging, and positive learning environment, with a strong focus on the KS1 curriculum.

The school is looking for a confident, proactive, and adaptable teacher who has a good knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and can deliver high-quality teaching while providing consistency for pupils. ECTs are welcome to apply.

As a Year 1Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum.


• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.


• Implementing behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.


• Maintaining clear records of pupil progress and providing feedback.


• Working collaboratively with colleagues and attending required staff meetings.


• Ensuring classroom resources and learning activities are well-prepared.

To be successful in this Year 1 Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).


• Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.


• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.


• Strong classroom management skills and a confident, calm approach.


• Excellent planning and organisational abilities.


• A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
