Job Description

A global technology business and fully invested Workday customer is seeking an experienced and motivated Workday Absence & Time Tracking Lead to join their People Technology team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a pivotal role within a mature and collaborative HRIS function, supporting the continued evolution and optimisation of Workday across a complex, international business.

This is a permanent position with a hybrid working pattern, requiring presence in the Central London office two to three days per week. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £80,000, along with a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

As the Workday Absence & Time Tracking Lead, you will be responsible for the ongoing support, enhancement and delivery of Workday Absence and Time Tracking solutions. You will act as the subject matter expert in these areas, partnering closely with HR, HRIS and Payroll stakeholders to deliver effective system configuration, resolve issues, and support broader transformation initiatives.

The role requires strong functional knowledge of Absence and Time Tracking within Workday, as well as an understanding of how these modules interface with various global payroll technologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions oriented mindset, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Workday Absence & Time Tracking Lead - Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience configuring and supporting Workday Absence and Time Tracking in a complex environment

  • Solid understanding of how these modules interface with a range of payroll technologies

  • Experience in both BAU support and project-based enhancements or implementations

  • Comfortable gathering business requirements, providing expert guidance, and translating them into system solutions

  • Previous experience in an international environmentis highly desirable

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to work on-site in London two to three days per week

  • Full right to live and work in the UK
