Workato Specialist - iPaaS / Automation

(Hybrid - details to be confirmed)

I'm working with a client who is looking for a Workato Specialist to join their growing technology team and take ownership of automation and integration across the business.

This is not a "recipe builder" role - the successful candidate will be the subject matter expert for Workato, responsible for designing, building, and running integrations between core business systems. What the role involves

  • Own the Workato platform day-to-day, designing and delivering integration solutions

  • Build and maintain Workato recipes, including custom code where needed

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain them clearly to non-technical teams

  • Automate manual workflows, particularly around finance and ERP processes

  • Develop scripts (Python/SQL) to extend automation capability

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise performance of integrations

What they're looking for

  • Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering Workato integrations

  • Confident creating recipes, managing triggers, actions, and jobs

  • Previous experience owning an iPaaS tool within a business

  • Solid API integration experience, able to work with both pre-built and custom APIs

  • Strong scripting and data skills (Python, SQL)

  • Experience of ERP integration (FinancialForce/Certinia or similar)

  • Excellent communication skills - able to make complex technical solutions clear to non-technical audiences

Nice to have

  • Background in SaaS, subscription products, or learning management systems

  • Experience in edtech, e-learning, or education sectors

  • Workato certification

Why join?

This is a high-profile role where you'll shape how automation and integration are delivered across the business, cut down manual processes, and bring real scalability. Alongside a strong benefits package, you'll join a collaborative, innovative team that encourages professional growth.
