WMS Technical Architect

About the Role
As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, evolution, and seamless integration of the Blue Yonder Dispatcher platform. You'll align technology with strategic goals, enhance system resilience, and drive continuous improvement within a crucial government and defence environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the stability, availability, and ongoing evolution of Dispatcher environments.
• Oversee the entire Dispatcher release life cycle, including patches and major upgrades.
• Proactively monitor and optimise server and Oracle database performance.
• Ensure robust integration and data flow between Dispatcher, OTM, and Leidos systems.
• Develop and test comprehensive Disaster Recovery processes for dispatcher services.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and act as a key technical contact for vendors.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in Blue Yonder Dispatcher platform deployment and life cycle management.
• Strong Oracle DBA knowledge (performance tuning, migrations, refreshes).
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration and Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS for environment setup, DR, and monitoring.
• Understanding of WMS/TMS operations and inter-system data flow.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical designs.
• Familiarity with ITIL and structured change management practices.

What you'll get in return

• 6 months contract
• £600 - 700 per day rate
• Hybrid work available where you are onsite 2-3 days a week
