The Software & App Development team
The software & app development team has grown rapidly in the past years. Currently, it consists of 45 people spread across 4 teams with 15 different nationalities. The Tacx App on IOS, Android and Desktop connects with Tacx trainers bringing reality and engagement to indoor rides. With our extensive collection of real-life cycling videos we serve ten thousands of people on a monthly basis. In this client-facing product environment we continuously need to improve performance, quality, features and design. Next to this we aim to join the Garmin ecosystem, creating an all-season cycling experience.
Our customers are passionate about cycling, as a Windows Developer you will provide them with the best indoor cycling experience by developing and maintaining our Tacx Trainer Desktop apps. You facilitate our users with the most famous and exciting riding courses and multi-player features with the usage of Bluetooth communication, video rendering and Realtime performance data.
You will be closely collaborating with the Product owner, desktop & mobile development team members, as well as other teams like marketing and support to implement new features and align the way of working.
What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
- Deliver high quality features each sprint together with your team of developers, designers and testers.
- Inspect your teams progress towards the sprint goals on a daily basis and adapt if needed.
- Break-down and refine development work together with the Product Owner.
- Pro-actively address any issues or bugs, and solve these if prioritized.
- Explain complex technology matters in simple terminology towards your colleagues.
What do we expect from you?
- You are experienced developing in C#/.Net, preferably within an agile working environment with a continuous focus on improvements.
- You worked on UWP or WPF projects.
- Experience in applying MVVM Design patterns.
- Experience with Bluetooth communication, video rendering and Realtime performance data is seen as a plus.
- We are a multi-cultural team where English is the main language. Since we are located in the Netherlands, Dutch language skills are preferred.
- Interest in working with 3D models and game development can be an advantage.
- The ability to inspire others with your passion and ambition.
- It is a big bonus if you have a passion for cycling and sports and a good understanding of Git and CI/CD workflows.
