8:30am - 3:30pm (No weekends!)
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to work across schools in the Swansea and Carmarthenshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in Welsh-medium and bilingual settings, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
You will work closely with teachers to support learners across a range of abilities, providing both classroom assistance and one-to-one support where required.
- Support pupils in Welsh and English across the curriculum
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
- Help promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) where required
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be fluent Welsh-speaking (essential)
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or be willing to register
While not essential, the following are highly desirable:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning
- Experience working with children in an education setting
- Experience supporting pupils with ALN
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
