Welfare and Compliance Administrator-Hessle

Location: Hessle, East Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Welfare and Compliance Administrator to join our team at Cranswick Farming.

You will play a key role in supporting compliance and welfare processes across our farming operations, ensuring all farms meet required assurance standards and documentation is accurately managed. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will coordinate compliance activities, maintain records, and support communication between farms, veterinary professionals, and internal teams.

This role is suited to a highly organised and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance deadlines are met, and supporting the smooth operation of assurance and welfare systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new farm applications, including Red Tractor, RSPCA, and GAP assurance schemes
  • Track and monitor farm assurance compliance, ensuring all farms remain fully assured at all times
  • Manage and maintain non-conformance trackers, ensuring issues are recorded and followed up appropriately
  • File and track veterinary reports, ensuring all documentation is received and records are accurate and up to date
  • Communicate veterinary correspondence and updates to farm and field teams
  • Maintain and manage the Compliance SharePoint system, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and well organised
  • Act as a key point of contact for communications to and from farms
  • Manage and maintain compliance documentation, ensuring the team uses correct and up-to-date versions
  • Provide general administrative support to the Compliance and Welfare team as required
About You
  • Experience in an administrative, compliance, or office-based role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint
  • Able to build positive working relationships with farms, vets, and internal teams
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong team player with a professional approach
