Welcome & Service Team Member

Summary

As a Welcome and Service Team Member, you will join the Outdoor Welcome Team at the Lake Head car park in Wasdale. You will greet visitors, provide information and offer advice to enhance their experience of England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, and the broader Lake District.

Responsibilities

You will be the face of the National Trust during the main visitor season, welcoming between 2 and 3 days a week with a focus on weekends and bank holidays. Your tasks include:

• Welcoming visitors and providing a warm, personal greeting.
• Providing advice and recommendations based on visitor interests.
• Promoting National Trust membership, volunteering and other ways visitors can support conservation.
• Communicating the importance of the National Trust's work through stories and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Customer focused with an understanding of the importance of great service
• A team player, but can also work independently and on their own initiative
• Well organized and adaptable
• Willing to learn new skills
• Have a positive attitude

Package

• Salary: £13.25 per hour
• Fixed term contract: 12 months, 956 hours per year
• Hours: 2 to 3 days per week, with a focus on weekends and bank holidays
