Fixed Term part time, 1170 hrs per year, until 6 September 2026. Location: Windermere, Lake District, England. Salary: £13.25 per hour. Working pattern: an average of 3 days per week, total 383 hours over the contract term, with a high amount of weekend and bank holiday work.
SummaryAs the public face of our properties, you'll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. You'll work across multiple outdoor locations within the valleys of Langdale, Ullswater, Windermere and Coniston.
You'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a CV or online application form.
What you'll be doing- Provide a warm and friendly welcome to visitors.
- Give information about the property and answer visitor questions.
- Ensure visitors have an enjoyable and memorable visit.
- Communicate the National Trust's purpose and conservation goals through storytelling.
- Support the National Trust through car park income, fundraising and membership initiatives.
- Customer focused with an understanding of the importance of great service.
- A team player, but also able to work on your own initiative.
- Well organised and adaptable.
- Willing to learn new skills.
- Have a positive attitude.
