Job Description
Wax Assembly Operative JewelCast Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham Precision work. Full training provided. Jewellery experience not essential. About the Role Are you good with your hands and proud of producing careful, accurate work? We are looking for a practical and reliable person to join our casting team and learn the specialist skill of wax assembly.You do not need previous jewellery or casting experience. What matters most is excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, patience and a positive approach to learning.Full training will be provided. What you will do Attach small wax components and patterns to runners and sprues Position and space components accurately on a wax tree Create clean, secure wax joints Build complete wax trees ready for the next stage of casting Handle delicate components carefully to prevent damage or distortion Check finished work for quality and consistency Work efficiently with the casting team to meet production requirements What we are looking for Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Patience and concentration when completing delicate or repetitive work The ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly A reliable and punctual approach to work A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure A supportive team player who takes pride in their work Experience Jewellery experience is not essential. Experience in precision assembly, craft work, model making, dental laboratory work, manufacturing or any role involving small and delicate components may be helpful.
