Our client is a well established water treatment consultancy that provides specialist advice and services on all aspects of water treatment and legionella to high profile clients throughout the UK. Due to continued success, they now have a vacancy for a driven and hard working Water Treatment Business Development Manager based in the Greater Manchester to join their team. The ideal candidate will come from a strong managerial background, possess excellent leadership skills, and will demonstrate their business development experience gained through working in a similar role within the water treatment industry. An extensive knowledge of and experience in overseeing and growing closed system, steam boiler and cooling tower accounts is essential to this role. Applications from Bolton, Huddersfield, Stockport, and areas with good access to the M62 will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience- A strong sales, business development, management, technical and office background is essential.
- Experience working in a business development role within the water treatment industry is required.
- A proven track record of managing and growing closed system, steam boiler and cooling tower accounts.
- Have a good formal education.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Resourcing new contracts whilst managing existing ones.
- Involvement with the sales, commercial and financial side of the business.
- Promoting the company's water treatment services.
- Produce quotations and submit tenders.
- Develop and monitor business forecasts and budgets.
- Build a professional working relationship with clients/customers.
- Maintaining the company's systems.
- Attend and conduct meetings to discuss the financial position of the business, etc.
- Achieving target and goals.
- Assist in the development of the sales staff by providing further training where required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures.
- Developing plans for new clients and suppliers - contracts or services.
