Job Description

Robert Half have partnered with a global consultancy firm to recruit for a highly experienced VMware Architect to support a large-scale VMware Cloud 9 deployment for a global financial services client.

This role will focus on VCF enablement, architecture design, build, and adoption, ensuring the platform is production-ready and aligned with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead VCF architecture design and implementation for VMware Cloud 9
  • Support VCF ennoblement, including platform readiness and adoption
  • Design and build core VCF components (compute, storage, networking, life cycle)
  • Provide architectural guidance and best practices for enterprise environments
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Support troubleshooting, optimisation, and knowledge transfer

Experience:

  • Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) architecture
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise VCF environments
  • Strong understanding of VMware full stack (vSphere, NSX, vSAN, SDDC Manager)
  • Experience supporting cloud modernisation initiatives in regulated environments
  • Ability to work independently in a part time, advisory capacity
  • Financial services or highly regulated industry experience
  • Prior involvement in VMware Cloud major version upgrades or greenfield builds
