Visual Design Creative Lead, F&B Location: London Headquarters, UK Reports to: Visual Design Manager Contract: Permanent Your : Lead the Design to support all Trade and Promotional activity for F&B UK and Travel Retail Design of Internal F&B Events, local initiatives, PR Events, Training Events and Pop-Ups Lead Graphic Design across the UK market Supporting the UK Region with capacity overflow of Design activityThe successful candidate will support the Visual Design Manager and mentor the Visual Designer in the design and execution of 2D and 3D promotional activity for the UK Market. They are an operational keystone in the execution of all trade, promotional and PR event activity for the UK. Working closely across all UK departments they will initiate and deliver both Global and local concepts for both Domestic and Travel Retail markets. The scope also includes designing for large retailer conferences, local in-store events and training. The role also supports the UK Region if there is an overflow of work. What impact you can create at Chanel: Design, Produce and Support all Trade and Promotional activity for F&B UK and Travel Retail: Supporting the Marketing and Retail teams to implement strong design and creative solutions. Designing 3D concepts for UK Retail and Travel Retail spaces based on global guidelines Creating design proposals and technical layouts in 2D and 3D for the UK Domestic market including local and travel retail ( Sketchup experience required ) Designing in an environmentally responsible way, considering new, sustainable initiatives within budget considerations and managing the end-of-life cycle of these materials Working closely with the local design team and wider VM team to ensure successful completion of all projects to a high standard Working within global guidelines to produce visually exceptional campaign collateral Communicating closely and maintaining relationships with our supplier network Lead the design and create immersive, interactive environments for pop-up's, events and PR activities: Supporting the Marketing and Retail teams to create and implement strong design and creative solutions. Ideate design ideas for in-store experiences and larger pop-ups using local objectives as a starting point Develop floor plans, layouts, and 3D visualizations that enhance the visitor experience Integrate lighting, sound, materials, and digital technologies (such as interactive displays, projection mapping, and AR) to create a multi-sensory, branded experience Collaborate with retail teams, event planners and technical experts to ensure the seamless integration of experiential design elements into physical spaces Curate narrative-driven environments that align with brand identity and enhance the consumer journey Oversee the fabrication and installation of design elements, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards Prioritise and manage multiple projects, allocating creative resources effectively and anticipating bottlenecks Conduct site visits to ensure design vision is accurately realised, adjusting as needed during the build process Work closely with marketing and brand teams to develop custom-designed environments that align with campaign objectives and maximize customer engagement Artworking, layouts, approvals and communications across these projects to support the activity Collaborating with Global teams on graphic event collateral, producing these to high standards Mentor the development of junior members within the team: Supporting the development of the Visual Designer through constructive feedback, goal setting and regular check ins. Delegate event related tasks, such as artworking, layouts, prop listing, 3D design aspects and promotional materials appropriately, providing clear guidance and encouraging ownership and accountability Provide day-to-day leadership to the Visual Designer acting as their primary mentor Support the Visual Designer in developing their creative skills, project ownership and confidence, offering regular feedback and fostering a growth-oriented working relationship Support the Visual Designer with graphic design briefs that come in from the wider business Champion collaboration by involving the Visual Designer in ideation and concept development, encouraging contribution while maintaining responsibility for quality control and creative consistency Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance check-ins and development planning to align team goals Other: A short summary of other requirements of the role Supporting the field visual merchandisers and wider design team in day-to-day tasks Working alongside our 5 Queensway display team with logistical tasks and storage requirements Working fluidly across wider internal teams with the ability to 'wear many hats' Completing any other tasks deemed appropriate for the role This is an impact-focused summary of the job and it's helpful to note that responsibilities listed are not exhaustive; additional and more detailed duties will be shared during training stage. What you will bring to the role: At least 3-5 years' experience within the industry is preferable but not compulsory Strong interest in event and retail design and keen to stay curious Sketchup knowledge is essential and VRAY (or otherwise) rendering experience preferable Qualification in a design subject is desirable Ability to design with a CSR mindset and sustainable thinking Fluent in the Adobe Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) Fluent in the Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc) Strong organisational and communication skills Highly organised and detail-oriented with the ability to work proactively in a dynamic environment Team player mindset with the ability to confidently work self-sufficiently Able to commute to a London-based office and able to work remotely if required You are energised by: Working in a highly collaborative and global environment in real life scenarios with tangible outcomes New challenges within a high-project-turnover role with testing deadlines Designing in an environmentally responsible way as well as developing new, sustainable initiatives Upholding the guidelines and visual identity of an iconic brand Being part of an extremely passionate team with a common goal Working in a fast-paced team that will push you out of your comfort zone Seeing the rewards of projects almost daily and building on business requirements Contributing in the on-going and companywide version of sustainability.
