Job Description
The Swiss Academy of Sciences promotes sciences as a key element of Switzerland's cultural and economic development. The Academy is seeking a visual designer starting from August 1st or by mutual agreement.Do you have an eye for design, work with precision, and turn ideas into reality? Do you also wish to contribute to visually conveying scientific content in a compelling and understandable way? You are exactly the person we need!Your tasks include designing fact sheets, reports, and flyers while ensuring the visual coherence of the overall presentation. You will create content for various platforms, such as social media, podcasts, or the website. You will coordinate with external agencies for layout work as well as for the development of elements while ensuring compliance with and evolution of the visual identity, and will develop concepts as needed. You will assist the visual manager in all areas and actively engage in the visual profile.You are a versatile designer with talent or possess an equivalent qualification (recent graduate or a few years of experience). You have a wide range of graphic skills, from precise typographical layout to content creation, and have a good eye for visuals and work collaboratively. You have very good knowledge of common design programs and deep proficiency in Adobe products, particularly InDesign and Photoshop; knowledge of After Effects is a plus. You are interested in visual processing of knowledge in domains such as landscape or biodiversity.Your primary language is German or French, and you have good oral and written proficiency in the other language. You work in a structured, effective, reliable, and independent manner.
