Being a Visitor Experience Officer for the National Trust is all about people - connecting with them, inspiring them, and making sure they have the best possible day when they come to visit.
Salary: £14.16 per hour
Contract: Fixed term contract until 10-May-2027. This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 10-May-2027.
Hours/working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

What it's like to work hereYou'll be reporting to the Visitor Operations and Experience Manager and working within a Visitor Experience team in Fermanagh. This role also requires you to carry out other duties, like Duty Manager and this will include weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis.
The properties within Fermanagh include: Florence Court (primary place of work), Castle Coole and Crom. Your main office will be located at Florence Court but you will be required to work at different locations from time to time or during peak season and events.
County Fermanagh is in the West of Northern Ireland, approximately 2 hours from Belfast and Dublin. Fermanagh is a rural community which borders the Republic of Ireland. The three properties are set in wonderful landscapes; Castle Coole is the finest neo classical House in Ireland, with its exquisite architecture and collection, located on the edge of Enniskillen the county primary town.
Florence Court is located 8 miles from Enniskillen and close to the border with the Republic of Ireland. Florence Court is the Trust's most westerly property. The beautiful demesne is set against Benaughlin and Cuilcagh mountains. Every aspect of life in this classical Irish house, with its fine interiors and exquisite decoration, are brought to life on our fascinating guided tours.
Crom Estate is a 2000-acre estate rich in natural history, built heritage and highly designated nature conservation site on the edge of Lough Erne.
What you'll be doingAs a Visitor Experience Officer, your primary focus will be delivering an outstanding experience for every visitor.
Managing a team of welcome and service team members, you will help create a warm and engaging welcome, encouraging people to explore and connect with our places across Fermanagh. This role will involve supervising and supporting volunteers, as well as coordinating staff rotas.
You will play a key role in delivering high quality, engaging visitor experiences. This may include developing and delivering events, programmes and activities; producing risk assessments; and planning interpretive displays that bring each place and its stories to life for diverse audiences.
The role is central to both day to day operations and the overall visitor experience across Fermanagh. Maintaining high standards of presentation and service will be essential, alongside providing some budgetary support and working in partnership with local communities to improve access and engagement.

- skilled in organisation and planning, with a good eye for detail
- good at talking to, and getting on with, all kinds of people
- a hard working and committed team player
- comfortable with IT: Microsoft Office, as well as web and social media
- experienced in producing interpretive materials, such as displays and exhibitions, and marketing or promotional materials
- familiar with health and safety procedures
