The Vice President Procurement & Subcontracting leads the Procurement and Subcontracting Management (PSM) function for the region and plays a critical role in enhancing operational performance, cost efficiency and risk management across complex EPC/EPCM projects. The role is part of the senior Operations leadership for COE and drives close collaboration across regional, functional and corporate resources within the Group.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesProcurement & Subcontracting Strategy
- Define and drive the regional procurement and subcontracting strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Continuously develop procurement, sourcing and subcontracting frameworks to support sustainable growth and project delivery excellence.
Leadership & Organization Development
- Lead and further develop the Procurement and Subcontracting Management organization across the region.
- Strengthen capabilities across people, processes, systems and governance to achieve consistent, high performance execution.
Contracts & Commercial Management
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including sourcing, negotiation, execution, claims management and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and commercial standards.
Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Build and manage strategic relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery and risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost, Risk & Performance Management
- Drive cost optimization, total cost reduction initiatives and value engineering measures.
- Identify, assess and mitigate commercial, contractual and supply chain risks across projects.
Project & Business Support
- Provide senior procurement and subcontracting support during pre construction, bidding and execution phases.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, operations and corporate functions to ensure optimal commercial outcomes.
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Construction Management, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field
- 15+ years of professional experience in procurement and subcontracting within EPC/EPCM or complex construction project environments
- Senior leadership experience in procurement, subcontracting or commercial management within medium to large organizations
- Strong expertise in contract and commercial management, negotiations, sourcing strategies and supplier management
- Proven track record in leading and developing high performance teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel as required within the region and internationally
