The RoleThe successful candidate will work within a modern veterinary hospital environment, managing a diverse mix of medical and surgical cases. This role offers excellent exposure to a broad clinical caseload while allowing Veterinary Surgeons to further develop their diagnostic, surgical and communication skills.
The role requires a pragmatic, welfare focused clinician who is confident making evidence based decisions and discussing realistic treatment plans tailored to each client's circumstances.
The Veterinary Surgeon will work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to high clinical standards, continuous improvement, and positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high quality veterinary care to a varied medical and surgical caseload
- Conduct consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures
- Create practical and evidence based treatment plans
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Collaborate effectively with veterinary nurses and clinical colleagues
- Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the hospital
- Promote animal welfare and client engagement initiatives
Applicants should possess:
- RCVS registration as a qualified Veterinary Surgeon
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing a varied caseload independently
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to teamwork
