Veterinary Surgeon

Independent Small animal Practise in Essex Salary up to £80,000 DOE No OOH

This is a great opportunity for a Vet who wants to become part of a close-knit team while having the support, equipment and clinical freedom to provide an excellent standard of patient care.

The Role

The practise is based just outside of Essex and is one of the last few independents in the area. They're well established with a loyal client base who trust the team to look after their pets.

Day to day, the role offers a good balance between consulting and surgery. Typically, one vet will be consulting in the morning, with two vets operating in the afternoon, giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved with both sides of first-opinion practice.

The Practice

You'll be joining a supportive team where vets who have decades of experience between them.

The practice is well equipped and proud to offer hydrotherapy and physiotherapy along side modern technology.

They have a holistic approach and give you the tools you need to work to a high clinical standard.

Whether you are an experienced Vet looking for a new challenge or a less experienced Vet wanting to develop your skills within a supportive environment, you'll be made to feel very welcome.

About You

The practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident across general small animal practice and enjoys having a varied caseload.

You'll ideally have some experience in both consulting and surgery and be keen to continue developing your clinical skills.

An interest in diagnostic imaging would be particularly welcome, although this isn't essential.

The Package
  • Up to £80,000 DOE
  • 38 hours per week
  • 4-day working week
  • Flexibility around working days
  • 1 in 4 full weekends
  • No OOH or on-call
  • 4 weeks' annual leave

If you're looking for a role that offers a genuine mix of consulting and surgery and the opportunity to continue developing your clinical interests, this could be a great fit.
