Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable dealership in Bishops Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified technicians or experienced mechanics eager to further develop their careers within a premium automotive environment.   • Competitive basic salary of up to £37,000, with an uncapped OTE of approximately £44,320

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conducting vehicle health checks and pre-delivery inspections on both new and used vehicles
  • Performing routine servicing and repairs following manufacturer guidelines
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Fitting accessories and fulfilling customer modifications requests as a Vehicle Technician
  • Completing documentation accurately and ensuring warranty compliance
  • Road testing vehicles post-repair to verify issues have been resolved
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout all tasks
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or independent garage
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Knowledge of diagnostics, MOT testing, and electric vehicle systems is desirable but not essential
