Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our active Swindon facility, you will:

  • Carry out comprehensive safety inspections, retail preparation work, routine vehicle servicing, and mechanical repairs across a diverse fleet.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and multi-brand software to systematically troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Complete thorough maintenance and prep work, ensuring every vehicle meets top-tier retail and safety standards.
  • Work productively alongside vehicle coordinators, sales teams, and fellow mechanics to maintain a smooth, efficient workshop flow.
What You Need
  • Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. A proven track record in a professional workshop environment. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair, diagnostic, and servicing tasks effectively.
  • Key Strengths: A reliable, self-motivated team player who is comfortable using digital systems and adapts quickly to different car brands.
