Hours: 14 hours per week
Location: Hybrid - Hertfordshire (St Albans & Watford)
Salary: £13,084-£13,669 per annum (salary progression in line with AWRC pay scales)
Contract: Fixed Term until 31 March 2029
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced VAWG Training and Development Officer to design and deliver high-quality training to professionals, community organisations and partner agencies across Hertfordshire. This exciting role will play a key part in improving understanding of violence against women and girls, harmful practices and the barriers experienced by Black and Minoritised women.
About the RoleYou'll develop and deliver engaging, evidence-based training programmes that increase confidence and improve professional practice across a wide range of organisations.
Working within a trauma-informed, survivor-centred and culturally responsive framework, you will:
- Design and deliver specialist VAWG training and awareness sessions.
- Develop high-quality training resources and learning materials.
- Deliver workshops on domestic abuse, coercive control, safeguarding, harmful practices, forced marriage, stalking and so-called honour-based abuse.
- Build strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
- Represent AWRC at partnership meetings and community events.
- Monitor and evaluate training programmes to demonstrate impact and improve future delivery.
