Job Description
Variable Hours Lecturer in Spanish

Reference: REQ001331. Location: Stroud Campus. FTE Salary: Up to £30,546.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience). Hourly Rate: Up to £31.51 (inclusive of holiday and preparation allowance). Contract Type: 0 hour contract, fixed term until 31st August 2026. Working Hours: Part time, 8 hours per week (Wednesday and Thursday evenings).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • To undertake all forms of pedagogic work which may include classroom teaching, lecturer work and associated outreach duties, open and distance learning courses and student placements
  • To ensure the associated organisational and required administrative work, preparation and marking is undertaken
  • To provide the appropriate student welfare and academic/non academic counselling responsibilities and ensure safeguarding procedure is adhered to
  • To conduct curriculum development work including identification of consumer requirements, planning, development and evaluation of courses and course materials
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Recent and relevant industry experience
  • Have experience of working in a pressured environment to tight timescales and deadlines
  • Excellent communication, literacy and teaching presentation skills
  • IT Literate (especially proficient in the use of Excel and Word)
