User Researcher - Contract Opportunity - BPSS Required

We're currently recruiting for an experienced User Researcher to join a public sector programme delivering user-centred digital services.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, conducting research that directly influences service design and delivery.

• £300-£325 per day
• Immediate start
• Mostly remote
• 1 day per month onsite in Newcastle
• Public sector environment
• SFIA Level 4 role
• Initial contract with extension potential

Requirements

• Proven experience conducting qualitative user research across the service life cycle
• Ability to plan, manage and deliver research activities independently
• Experience synthesising findings and communicating insights to stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
• Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Public sector or government experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver user research activities
• Conduct interviews, usability testing and other research methods
• Analyse research findings and present actionable recommendations
• Support service teams in making evidence-based decisions
• Champion user-centred design principles across the programme
