Role Overview

We are seeking a User Researcher to support a government project focused on improving digital services. You will conduct research to understand user needs and ensure services meet GDS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Work closely with designers, developers, and product teams to integrate findings.
• Create actionable insights and present them to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with GDS Service Standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Advocate for user-centred design principles throughout the project.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a User Researcher in government or public sector projects.
• Strong understanding of GDS principles and user research methodologies.
• Ability to deliver research in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• BPSS clearance (mandatory).

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with tools like Miro, Figma, or similar.
• Knowledge of service design and UX principles.
