Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC currently has a full time permanent role for the position of Urgent Care Physician in the Carrickmines Clinic. The core of the role is to provide excellent clinical care in a manner that is patient-centred and with the highest quality standards.

What will you do
  • Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations
  • Minor injuries; including sprains, fractures and wounds
  • Facilitating referrals to specialists
  • Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs
  • Indicate any procedures done
  • Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation
What you will need to be successful
  • Registered with the Irish Medical Council
  • Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice in a community setting and 2 years of recent urgent care/ minor trauma/A&E experience
  • Training in ED / GP or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial
  • 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable
  • Flexibility across a 7 day roster
  • BLS
  • Proven ability to work to tight time frames in a busy commercially focused environment
