Job Title: Unqualified Teacher
Location: 3 Dimensions School, Chard, Somerset, TA20 3AJ
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
Salary: £40,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Unqualified Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in transforming the educational journey of students by delivering engaging, personalised learning that builds confidence, develops skills and celebrates success.
Working within a specialist setting, you will plan and deliver creative lessons that spark curiosity, encourage participation and support progress. You'll take the time to understand each student as an individual, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs and helping them develop both academically and personally.
As part of a collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to education plans, monitor progress, support reviews and work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to ensure every student receives the very best opportunities to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons within your specialist subject area.
- Creating personalised learning experiences that inspire and motivate students.
- Monitoring progress, assessing attainment and setting meaningful targets.
- Supporting the development of individual education plans and review processes.
- Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage participation and achievement.
- Using creative approaches and the wider learning environment to make education accessible and enjoyable.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to support student outcomes.
- Contributing to curriculum development and wider school improvement initiatives.
- Promoting high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.
About You
You are a passionate educator who believes that every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement and opportunities. - Strong subject knowledge and a passion for learning and education.
- Experience working with students in education, youth work, training, care or a similar environment.
- The ability to engage and motivate students through creative and adaptive teaching approaches.
- A nurturing, patient and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Confidence in assessing progress and supporting individual learning goals.
- A full UK Driving Licence

3 Dimensions School is a specialist independent school for children and young people aged 7-25 with a range of complex learning, communication, social, emotional and mental health needs.
