Location: Remote

Hours: Approximately 18 hours per week

Are you an experienced fundraiser, bid writer or charity professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity?

We are recruiting for a Trusts & Foundations Officer to join a fundraising team on a temporary basis for approximately 2 months. This role will focus on identifying funding opportunities, developing grant applications and helping to secure vital funding that supports important community services.

Working remotely as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in developing grant income, maintaining relationships with funding bodies and supporting wider fundraising objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new grant funding opportunities from trusts, foundations and other funding bodies.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective funders.
  • Write compelling funding applications, grant bids and tailored funding proposals.
  • Manage relationships with existing funders and help secure ongoing and multi-year funding opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit reports in line with funder requirements.
  • Work alongside marketing and communications teams to promote fundraising successes and project impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity and grants.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation and its services.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, industry standards and best practice.
  • Support the achievement of wider fundraising objectives.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience within fundraising, grant funding, bid writing or a similar role.
  • Experience working within a charity or not-for-profit environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality funding applications and reports.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience producing reports, maintaining records and working towards targets.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and virtual meeting platforms.
  • An understanding of fundraising regulations and data protection principles.

Desirable

  • Experience engaging communities, volunteers or supporters.
  • Knowledge of end-of-life care services and the challenges faced by patients and families.
  • Experience motivating and inspiring stakeholders, volunteers or colleagues.
