Trust Doctor/GPVTS (eqv to ST1) in Emergency Medicine

Newham Hospital is seeking to appoint two Trust Doctors (GPVTS/ST1+ equivalent) to join its busy, high-acuity inner-city Emergency Department serving one of the most diverse and socio economically deprived populations in the UK.

Newham ED sees over 90,000 attendances annually and manages a high volume of undifferentiated, high risk and complex acute presentations, including major trauma, medical and surgical emergencies, infectious diseases, mental health crises, and social vulnerability. It is a Trauma Unit with strong links to the Royal London Hospital Major Trauma Centre. The local population is young and diverse, with an exciting and often high acuity case mix. There is a separate Paediatric ED and Urgent Care Centre.

The successful candidates will work on the SHO level rota and gain experience across all areas of the department, including Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), and the Adult and Paediatric Clinical Decision Units.
