Location: Leicestershire

Contract: Temporary (3 months)

Salary: £24.34 umbrella / £21.92 PAYE Inclusive / £19.56 PAYE Exclusive

Responsibilities

• Execute major treasury decisions at the best rates, minimising credit exposure and other risks.
• Ensure day-to-day borrowing and investment decisions comply with policy.
• Support forecast preparation for council spending and income, including sensitivity analysis.
• Assist in preparing the council's general fund budget and medium-term financial strategy for approval.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with significant experience in local authority finance.
• Experienced in treasury management, financial strategy, budgeting, or financial planning within a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and produce accurate forecasts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working collaboratively and presenting financial information clearly to a range of audiences.
