Transportation Specialist, SWA - Ops Delivery Experience

This role is based in SWA.

Purview of a Transportation Specialist

In this role, the candidate will collaborate with the business and operations teams to resolve customer escalations, analyze historical data, and initiate programs, all within a rapidly growing and increasingly complex environment. The candidate will enhance visibility tools, methods, and processes to improve the availability and granularity of actionable data for internal and external partners. The successful candidate must demonstrate ownership of customer issues, proactively develop SOPs and process improvements, and be passionate about their work.

Key qualities include being detail-oriented, an excellent problem solver, with superb communication and customer relationship skills, and strong analytical insight. The candidate should advocate for the customer across stakeholders, drive simple and scalable solutions to complex problems, and possess excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Communicating with internal teams (CS, MM, LM, FC, Trans Program, HR).
  2. Creating compelling messaging strategies and presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
  3. Managing multiple priorities with high attention to detail and minimal supervision.
  4. Applying strong analytical, mediation, and problem resolution skills.
  5. Demonstrating leadership with a bias towards action, fostering ownership and learning.
  6. Collaborating effectively with remote and local management teams.
  7. Applying process improvement techniques.
Key job responsibilities:
  • Deep data analysis and producing insights.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to resolve concerns through SOPs and automation.
  • Handling operation and shipper escalations.
  • Running defect reduction programs with cross-functional teams.
  • Managing shift operations.
  • Developing reports.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.
  • Experience with Excel and SQL.
