Job Title: Transport Team Leader

Location: Crewe CW1

Pay Rate:£15.21

Contract: Temp to perm

Nights: 4 on 4 off, 6pm - 6am

GAP Personnel is acting as an employment business is currently recruiting for a transport team leader, who will be able to assist with day-to-day duties, for the growing transport and logistics company in Crewe. Ideal candidate would have similar experience and have very good communication skills - written and spoken.

Main Duties as a Transport Coordinator:

• Freight planning, processing special cases.
• Raise and Issue relevant paperwork to selected 3rd parties transport companies.
• Match suitable part-loads together within defined geographical and time constraints.
• Advise Customer Service / Sales of delays or difficulties.
• Provide customers with notice-of-delivery when required.
• Organised with good timekeeping
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good general understanding of PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Able to manage and lead people

Knowledge, skills and experience required, previous experience in sales or transport . Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
