TLP are working on behalf of our well-established client, who are currently seeking a reliable and organised Transport Administrator to join their team on a Temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to build a long-term career within a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.
Our client are a highly respected, family-owned business with over 90 years of experience in the industry, known for its professionalism and people first approach. The role will play a key part in supporting the smooth running of transport operations across their pallet network and full-load distribution services.
Key Responsibilities:- Input and monitor jobs using bespoke transport management software
- Assist with the coordination of transport operations, ensuring timely collections and deliveries
- Support the planning and organisation of transport schedules and routes
- Handle transport-related documentation, including PODs and driver manifests
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, customers, and colleagues to resolve any issues
- Track and monitor vehicle movements and delivery progress
- Carry out pallet network administration, including monitoring message boards, discrepancies, and revenue checks
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Transport or logistics experience preferred but not essential
- Experience working with reports and KPIs is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and telephone manner
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Flexible and proactive approach
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.50
